**Job Title:** Storeperson
**Location:** Westmoreland St, London W1G 8PH, United Kingdom
**Pay:** £17.56-£18.96 per hour
**Job Description:**
As a Storeperson, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management processes. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. **Receiving and Processing Goods:** Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders, and ensure accurate documentation. Process goods for storage or dispatch according to established procedures.
2. **Inventory Management:** Maintain organized and efficient storage areas, ensuring that all items are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records.
3. **Order Fulfillment:** Work collaboratively with other team members to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently. Pick items from inventory according to order specifications, pack them securely, and prepare them for shipment.
4. **Quality Control:** Inspect incoming shipments for damage, discrepancies, or defects. Report any issues promptly and work with suppliers or relevant parties to resolve them effectively.
5. **Documentation and Record-Keeping:** Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all incoming and outgoing goods, including receipts, packing slips, and inventory logs. Ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and filed according to company policies.
6. **Health and Safety:** Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials, if applicable.
7. **Equipment Maintenance:** Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Previous experience in a warehouse or storekeeping role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
